"Good but not great" review by ali-j

Our toddler can't live without this blackout blind so I should really be giving it 5 stars, but we've had it about 2 years now and the suction things don't seem to work any more - the blind falls down every night now so my toddler is waking up with the sunrise unfortunately.
It would also be nice to have a couple of different sizes because if it's a very different size to your window it's hard to have it sit right against it as the horizontal excess bits kind of hang down (if that makes sense!) (Posted on 23/02/2012)
"You must buy this!" review by Sinead

We bought this for when we are going to visit my mum, who lives on a well-lit street & has light curtains on the window. Instead of waking up @ 5.30, my 4 month old boy (who thankfully is a sleeper) slept through to 7.45! Mum & Dad also slept well, so a win-win situation. Would. Go as far to say it is the best baby accessory I have bought! (Posted on 19/07/2011)

"Great but..." review by Rach

Love the black out quality and the stars on the fabric - my only complaint is that a couple of the corner suckers were squashed in storage before we got them, so they do not stick very well and are quite important ones! (Posted on 08/06/2011)

My little boy would wake consistently every morning due to the sun pouring into his window far to early for our household to begin. And then wake both my daughters 7 and 1 :-((
I bought this black out blind and with a bit of carefree giggling managed to fit the suckers to the window and frame instant! Darkness! And sleeping !!! He loves the stars on the back of tbe blind although he thinks were ticking the sun!! Lol and is now sleeping in and settling more easily in the light evenings!!!! Amazing!! Well worth the money and contemplating buy one if not two more absolutly hooorrray for the gro company!!

"really great BUT..." review by maleworrier

Great product and perfect in almost every way, but why oh why oh why is the side that faces outwards not reflective? Being black it absorbs a lot heat if facing the sun and makes the room hotter. Such a simple thing.... (Posted on 05/05/2011)
"Fab" review by Ms Clayton

Really fab product we use when ever we go to stay somewhere - just means the black out he is used to in his room is not a problem anywhere we go! Also small enough to pack on holiday - no early rising for us when we are away! anything that means more sleep is a bonus to us and worth every penny.

"wow" review by Mary

Wow wow wow! Went on holiday with this to France last summer and used it to black out a really quite large window. Really simple to use, works really well, and definitely helped our children get to sleep earlier on the light evenings and to stay in bed later in the mornings. (Of couse, we took our Gro-clock too, so that they would know not to get up "until the sun"). Thank you Grobag, for another great product.

"Easy To adjust!" review by M.Carr
Quality
Really pleased we've these blinds, bought two to black out the windows in my daughters bedroom so she can have the pretty curtains over the top. They are really easy to adjust to fit any window and the suckers stick to the window well and most importnat they are excellent at excluding any light. And even better we can take them with us where ever we go, fab product!!

Brilliant. We take ours everywhere. We even use one at home in our bedroom. They are so adaptable. Without them my two year old would not sleep for 14 hours a night!!!

"Not Quite Enough" review by Clare
Quality
This blind is amazing in terms of its blackout abilities and adjustable sizing however, my only gripe is that there isn't quite enough material past the sucker to completely exclude all light, With the suckers right up to the edge of my inl-aws windows it would be helpful to have another couple of cm's of fabric to lay over frame!

Questions on Gro Anywhere Blind
From Jacqui at 13/07/2011 17:38
Will the black out blind be suitable for a sash window that has window bars down the centre aswell.
regards
Jacqui
Dear Jacqui
I can confirm that the Gro Blind will be suitable on a sash window, the corner suctions cups will stick to the glass and the fabric can just rest on top of the middle bars.
I hope this helps

From Sam at 17/06/2011 21:09
Is the blind 200cms wide or long or can it be turned either way, as there are suckers on all sides? Would the suckers work on a painted wooden pelmet or glass only? Thanks
Dear Sam
I can confirm that the Gro Anywhere Blind has suction cups on all four sides which will only attach to glass therefore it can be used either way up. The Gro Blind is 130 x 200cm.
I hope this helps

Was this product formerly marketed as the baa baa blind? i already own one but need to order some more of the window suckers
Dear Cathy,
This product was previously known as the Baa Baa Blind. The Gro anywhere blind was modified before we launched it and for safety reasons the suckers have always been stitched into the blind. We do not stock spare suckers i'm afraid as we never made the Baa Baa Blind in that format.
Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards

How to install
Always start assembly using the primary corner where the care label is located. For a vertical (tall) window begin with the primary corner and position in the top right corner of the window, attaching the suckers along the top of the window. For a horizontal (wide) window begin in the top left hand corner of the window. Use the adjustment system to gather in excess material in the width or drop, or to re-position eyelets around the window. Undo webbing from the button in the hem if you wish to shorten, pull webbing to gather material then re-fasten webbing onto the button. Due to different types of glass or changes in temperature, occasionally a sucker may not adhere properly. Check glass is clean and moisten suckers and reattach.
Just a note before use, sometimes the suction cups can become deformed in transit and as a result may not stick effectively to the window when they are first removed from the packaging.
Don't worry if this happens, simply fold the cup in half and roll it between your fingers for 30 seconds. This will restore the conical shape and allow the cup to stick to glass. If this fails on the first attempt then repeat the process and the cup will regain its correct shape.
